Pre trip
To celebrate my MINI’s 1
year birthday on July 1st, 2006, I planned a 5 day road
trip to BC. Ok, maybe it wasn’t because of the MINI,
but I really wanted to meet a friend of mine in BC, go
take some nice pictures and drive on all those awesome
twisty roads I kept hearing about. So with school
finished and $500 in my pocket, off I went.

This trip
took me across southern BC, visiting places like
Nelson, Vancouver, Whistler, Penticton, and numerous
places along the way. I did quite a bit of
research and tried to incorporate as many twisty roads
into my route as possible.
Being my
first road trip alone ever, I was very excited and couldn't
wait to get started. Will I crash into a tree and die?
(as predicted by my brother)
Get my car stolen? (warned by my dad) Get murdered by friends I've
met over the internet? (warned by Mr. Internet) Run off with some girl I meet

Calgary to Nelson
Day 2
Nelson to Vancouver
Day 3
Vancouver for most of the day, then Whistler
Day 4
Whistler to Penticton
Day 5
Penticton to Calgary
Note: The
videos don't have sound because I was talking nonsense
and listening to bad music in the car, thus ruining the
sound. Videos require DivX.
